After launching on May 26, 2023, the press-photo contest on the theme "Hai Phong Tourism - Accelerating recovery, accelerating development" in 2023 received the participation of a large number of journalists and photographers in Hai Phong city and the central government.
The Organizing Committee has received more than 500 press works in many genres of print, electronic newspapers, radio and television reports, and artistic photos on the topic of " Hai Phong Tourism - Accelerating Recovery, Accelerating Development" published by press agencies in the city and the central government. Among them, the number of artistic photos that the Organizing Committee received exceeded expectations with more than 400 photos.
The organizers awarded certificates for the photo works on the topic of tourism to the authors.
Journalistic works and photos were vividly presented by journalists, closely following the contest rules and themes. The authors discovered many good practices and typical models of businesses and localities in implementing the direction of the Central Government and the city in Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution of the 16th Hai Phong City Party Congress (term 2020-2025); Directive of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the National Tourism Conference (March 2023) and Decision No. 82 dated May 18, 2023 of the Government "on key tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and accelerate effective and sustainable tourism development", thereby proposing solutions and measures for the Central Government and Hai Phong City to consider, study and put into practice.
At the same time, press agencies also have many works reflecting and analyzing bottlenecks and bottlenecks in socio-economic activities related to tourism in the city such as: Construction of traffic infrastructure, urban beautification, environmental protection, landscape preservation, administrative reform... in Hai Phong city,...

During the judging process, the members of the Jury worked seriously, responsibly, and followed the set criteria. In the journalism category, the Jury selected 12 outstanding journalism works to award prizes, including 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 consolation prizes. In the photography category, the Jury selected 16 outstanding works to award prizes, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes.
