During the three days of deployment, more than 300 people who are policy beneficiaries, people with revolutionary contributions, and poor households were examined, diagnosed, and treated on the spot. Military doctors performed clinical internal medicine, surgery, ultrasound, electrocardiogram, X-ray, CT scanner, ear-nose-throat endoscopy, and performed necessary tests.

In addition to prescribing and dispensing free medicine for common illnesses, patients with signs of underlying diseases or complex underlying diseases are advised and guided to higher-level medical facilities for in-depth examination.
The team of doctors and nurses also disseminates knowledge of community medicine, instructs people on how to recognize and prevent common diseases such as stroke, dengue fever, etc. At the same time, they advise on health care methods for the elderly and children, and raise awareness of disease prevention in the community.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phai (63 years old, living in Quarter 6, An Thoi Ward, Phu Quoc City) shared after being examined: “Thanks to the Navy doctors and nurses, I was examined and given free medicine, and did not have to travel far. They also gave detailed instructions on how to maintain my health. We are very grateful to the soldiers, hoping that they will always be healthy, continue to take care of our people and protect our sea and islands.”

This activity also spreads the bond between the army and the people, adding faith and hope to the people of the pearl island. The care and affection of the Navy officers and soldiers have been contributing to building a strong "people's hearts and minds" position. That is also the solid foundation to protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
