Ham Thuan Nam: Evaluation and classification of OCOP products in 2024

BTO-On November 29, the Council for evaluating and classifying OCOP products of Ham Thuan Nam district held a meeting to evaluate and classify OCOP products in 2024. Vice Chairman of Ham Thuan Nam District People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuc chaired the meeting.

Ham Thuan Nam District People's Committee has evaluated and classified 5 products. Of which, 3 new products are melons of Thanh Tung Farm in Phu Sung village, Ham Cuong commune; dragon fruit sauce of Ngoc Uyen food production facility, Ham Kiem commune; dragon fruit wine of Anh Hong Phuc Company Limited, Ham Minh commune. 2 products re-evaluated and re-classified are white-fleshed dragon fruit and red-fleshed dragon fruit of Ham Minh 30 Dragon Fruit Production Service Cooperative.

Products participating in evaluation and classification At the meeting, business representatives presented in detail product quality indicators, production processes and necessary information as required by the OCOP Council.

Subject presenting product quality standards The Evaluation Council has reviewed and scored the products strictly, transparently and objectively. Based on the evaluation results, the Council proposed the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Nam district to recognize 3 products including: melon, dragon fruit sauce, dragon fruit wine, all of which meet the standards for 3-star OCOP certification. As for the 2 products of white-fleshed dragon fruit and red-fleshed dragon fruit that meet the standards for 4-star OCOP certification, the OCOP District Council synthesized and submitted to the District People's Committee to transfer the product profile to the Provincial People's Committee to request evaluation, classification and recognition of the products.
