THX reported that on May 10, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea said that five car manufacturers in the country, including Hyundai Motor Co., Mercedes-Benz Korea, Kia Corp., GM Korea Co. and Stellantis Korea, will recall a total of 229,052 vehicles of 16 different models.
The recall is due to a fault in the sliding door system of the Kia Carnival, the high-pressure fuel pump system of the E220d and the high-voltage battery system of the Bolt electric vehicle.
Owners of the above vehicles can go to authorized service and repair centers to replace spare parts free of charge.
