According to the organizer's schedule, at 8:00 p.m. on May 31, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2025 will officially open with a match between the host team Da Nang (Vietnam 1) and the defending champion Finland.

The event is expected to bring a spectacular light show on the banks of the Han River.

According to records, from 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, despite light rain, people still flocked to the roads along the Han River such as Bach Dang, Tran Hung Dao and bridges such as Dragon Bridge, Han River Swing Bridge, and Thuan Phuoc Bridge.

The closer it got to the opening time, the more exciting the atmosphere became, everyone tried to find a good spot to fully enjoy the light festival.

Many people brought folding chairs, drinks and even tarps to sit on, ready to wait for the fireworks to start.

Ms. Pham Nga (living in Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city) chose a suitable seat for herself on the bank of Han river since late afternoon.

“Although we cannot watch the fireworks from the organizers’ stands, sitting by the Han River in the airy space, we can still fully enjoy the performances of the teams. In my opinion, the view here is not inferior to places with million-dollar views such as restaurants, high-rise hotels or in the stands,” said Ms. Nga.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang (a tourist from Quang Binh ) excitedly shared: “This is the first time I have come to Da Nang to watch the international fireworks festival. I hope the performances of the teams tonight will be truly eye-catching, not disappointing the expectations of the locals and tourists.”

Not only public places, many restaurants, hotels and high-rise buildings along the river also quickly filled up with seats on balconies and terraces.

Before the opening ceremony, the police force had to continuously regulate traffic, block vehicles entering, exiting, stopping, and parking on the roads surrounding the shooting range and grandstand of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.

According to the organizers, the host team Da Nang (Vietnam 1) will open this year's fireworks season with a performance called "Cultural Essence". The performance is elaborately staged, consisting of 4 parts and lasting more than 20 minutes.

The show uses thousands of fireworks programmed with high precision, synchronized every second with the music to create a symphony of light and sound in the sky over the Han River.

The highlight of the performance of the host team Da Nang this year was the harmonious blend of traditional Vietnamese music and famous international songs.

The defending champion Finland will perform "Nordic Lights" inspired by the magical aurora borealis phenomenon in Northern Europe.

Through unique pyrotechnic techniques, JoHo Pyro promises to lead the audience to explore Finnish people and culture.

With the music Stormskärs Maja, the Finnish team takes viewers back to the ancient lives of Finnish fishermen living on offshore islands.
