Storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13) caused heavy damage to people and property in many localities, especially the Central region. Urgently joining hands to take care of public health and prevent the risk of disease outbreaks after natural disasters, Long Chau donated more than 2,000 free tetanus vaccines to people in the storm-hit areas of Da Nang, Quang Nam , Gia Lai and Dak Lak. The program lasted 7 days, from November 12 to November 18, at 17 vaccination centers in the localities, with a plan for each center to perform about 20 shots/day.

17 Long Chau vaccination centers are conducting free tetanus vaccination programs.
Health experts say that after storms and floods, the environment is easily polluted by dirty water, rocks and floating waste. Many sharp objects such as nails, scrap iron and steel wire are swept into residential areas, creating conditions for dangerous pathogens such as tetanus to arise and spread. Therefore, just a small wound from a rusty nail, scrap iron, or a small scratch when soaking feet in dirty water can become a 'gateway' for tetanus bacteria to attack, threatening health, if not properly prevented and treated promptly. In fact, in recent times, there have been many cases of people being injured while walking barefoot or cleaning up after floods, increasing the risk of tetanus infection.

According to medical experts, timely tetanus vaccination helps minimize the risk of infection and dangerous complications.

More than 2,000 doses of tetanus vaccine were "speedily" mobilized to promptly care for the health of people in the Central region after the storm and flood.
Long Chau representatives hope that tetanus vaccinations will contribute to creating a "shield" to protect people from the risk of infection and dangerous complications caused by tetanus, avoiding health risks from environmental pollutants after storms and floods, thereby helping them rebuild their lives with peace of mind.

Long Chau Vaccination Center ensures safe vaccination, provides adequate vaccines, and accompanies people in disease prevention after storms and floods.
Previously, at the end of October, the Long Chau pharmacy and vaccination center system urgently mobilized 4 tons of medicine and medical supplies, 1,000 drug bases, coordinated with the local Department of Health and the press to donate to people in the "flood center" area in the Central region. The items include flu medicine, treatment medicine, Cloramin B and essential medical supplies for on-site health care, supporting people in conditions of deep flooding, power outages, traffic disruption, and difficult movement.

At the end of October, Long Chau donated 2 tons of medicine and medical supplies to people affected by storms and floods in Da Nang and Hoi An.
Long Chau has implemented community support activities quickly and urgently to provide timely medical support to local people, helping them to quickly stabilize their lives, proactively prevent the risk of disease outbreaks after natural disasters, and at the same time contribute to spreading the spirit of mutual love. This is also part of Long Chau's continuous efforts, demonstrating urgent action, responding to the spirit of Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 282/NQ-CP of the Government, aiming at the goal of caring for and improving health, joining hands to build a healthy community.
