According to historical records, he was a righteous man with great martial arts skills, and was called a tiger general by everyone. The family of Duke Nguyen Huynh Duc was one of the first to open up the Cai En mound and had many contributions to the land development. On September 9, Ky Mao year (October 27, 1819), he died while in office at the age of 71. In the 12th year of Minh Mang (1831), he was posthumously awarded the title of Duke Kien Xuong. The tomb of Duke Nguyen Huynh Duc was built in 1817 and is one of the oldest mausoleums in the province that still exists almost intact with many cultural and artistic values. In 1993, the art relic of the Tomb and Temple of Nguyen Huynh Duc was ranked as a national relic. The tomb of Duke Nguyen Huynh Duc was built in 1817 (before his death) and still exists almost intact to this day. The main construction materials are laterite and mortar. The mausoleum faces south, has a rectangular architectural plan, is a single-burial type, 8.7m wide, 12m long. Blocking the northern entrance to the tomb is a 3m high laterite screen with embossed Mai - Loc patterns. On both sides of the screen are embossed paintings of the four noble plants Mai - Lan - Cuc - Truc. From the screen to the main part of the tomb is a sacred path about 17m long. The tombstone of Duke Nguyen Huynh Duc was carved from Non Nuoc Ngu Hanh Son stone, 1.55m high, 0.9m wide, 0.16m thick, with sophisticated embossed patterns of the sun, flowers and leaves transforming into dragons on both sides of the stele's forehead; the stele border is decorated with embossed chrysanthemums and apricot blossoms. The center of the tombstone bears the national title, the tomb of the Gia Dinh Imperial Commissioner, the Governor, the Commander of the Vanguard Army, a gift from the Trung Duc period, a meritorious mandarin, the General of the country, the Grand Preceptor, the Duke of Nguyen Huynh. The stele was erected in November of the year Ky Mao (1819). Behind the stele is the burial place of Nguyen Huynh Duc's body with a flat tomb measuring 3.4m long, 2.7m wide, and 0.3m high. Behind the tomb is the rear screen that closes the mausoleum architecture. On the rear screen is an inscription that is said to have been signed by King Gia Long himself to commemorate the merits of a high-ranking mandarin who once saved the king's life and the restoration of the Nguyen Dynasty. Every year, on the occasion of Chu Nien festival, many tourists from inside and outside the province come to visit the mausoleum and offer incense at the church. The mausoleum wall area is built of laterite with an ancient look. From 1819 to 1959, the Nguyen Huynh family worshiped him in the old house that King Gia Long had built about 500m from the tomb. In 1959, for the convenience of worship, the family built this new temple in the style of four pillars, 2 roofs, wooden doors facing East.
