Moc Hoa: Quick response, saving the dike from breaking

In recent days, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, the water level in Moc Hoa commune (Tay Ninh province) has risen, putting pressure on many dikes protecting agricultural production.

Faced with the risk of landslides and bank overflows, local authorities and people promptly deployed response measures and proactively handled the situation according to the "4 on-site" motto.

Motor vehicles were mobilized to fix the problem.

At Tan Thiet hamlet, on October 23, as soon as they received news that a section of the dike was overflowing due to some low locations, the People's Committee of Moc Hoa commune mobilized militia, officials and people to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinating with mechanical vehicles to fix the problem. Weak points were urgently reinforced with trees, soil and sandbags, promptly preventing erosion and overflow that could lead to dike failure.

In addition to emergency handling at key points, the People's Committee of Moc Hoa commune has also proactively prepared materials, equipment and human resources to be ready to support and respond to other areas if an incident occurs. Guard teams are on duty 24/7, regularly checking the water level and safety of the dikes./.
