Moc Hoa: Quick response, saving the dike from breaking

In recent days, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, the water level in Moc Hoa commune (Tay Ninh province) has risen, putting pressure on many dikes protecting agricultural production.

Faced with the risk of landslides and overflowing banks, local authorities and residents promptly implemented response measures, proactively handling the situation according to the "four on-the-spot" principle.

Motorized vehicles were mobilized to fix the problem.

In Tan Thiet hamlet, on October 23rd, upon receiving reports of a dike overflowing due to low-lying areas, the People's Committee of Moc Hoa commune mobilized militia forces, officials, and residents to quickly arrive at the scene and coordinate with mechanical equipment to rectify the problem. Weak points were urgently reinforced with trees, soil, and sandbags to prevent erosion and overflow that could lead to dike breaches.

In addition to handling emergencies at critical points, the People's Committee of Moc Hoa commune has also proactively prepared supplies, equipment, and personnel to be ready to support and rescue in other areas should incidents occur. Guard teams are stationed 24/7, regularly checking water levels and the safety of the dikes.
