Thousands of people watch the parade and mass parade in Hai Phong

This is one of the highlight activities towards the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong - Heroic City (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025.

During the 300 days of implementing the agreement, from July 1954 to May 13, 1955, the army and people of Hai Phong waged a comprehensive and persistent struggle on all fronts. On May 13, 1955, the French army withdrew from Hai Phong, marking the victory of the intellectual, brave and united struggle of the entire people, concluding the implementation of the Geneva Agreement in the North, opening a new period of development for Hai Phong and the country.

After 70 years of construction and development, Hai Phong today is not only a dynamic and modern port city, but also a symbol of the will to rise, the desire for development and a deep love for the homeland.

The program of reviewing the contingent and mass parade took place with 48 groups participating, including 42 groups of parade and large-displacement motorbikes. The parade groups included 4 ceremonial groups, 17 armed forces groups and 21 mass groups from agencies, units and localities in the city. In addition, there were 6 groups standing as the background for the parade, with a total of about 2,900 participants. Representatives of business associations, the foreign community, international students, and Hai Phong's friendly cities participated in the parade.

The marching blocks followed the Tran Hung Dao route - through the City Theater Square - Quang Trung - in front of the monument of Female General Le Chan - Nguyen Duc Canh - Tran Phu.
