Trent represents Real to remember Jota. |
The former defender of the "Red Brigade" laid flowers, a red game controller and sent an emotional message to his old teammate: "My friend, we miss you very much. The memories of you and Andre (Diogo's brother) will live forever. I will always remember the wonderful moments we spent together. I will miss you every day. Liverpool's eternal number 20 will never be alone."
Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to make his first return to Anfield since joining Real Madrid. He has quashed rumours of an injury by appearing on the bench for Real in the last two games. Alexander-Arnold's last appearance for his new club was against Marseille, also in the Champions League on September 16. The England international injured his hamstring after just three minutes at the Bernabeu.
According to The Athletic , Alexander-Arnold is still not in the best shape. Therefore, the possibility of the player born in 1999 playing in the starting lineup is quite low. With veteran defender Dani Carvajal also out due to injury, Federico Valverde may be arranged by coach Xabi Alonso to play in the right-back role.
The match between Liverpool and Real Madrid takes place at 3am on November 5. The last time Real visited Anfield, they lost 0-2.
