According to Nguyen Tu Duc, Head of the Environmental Management Department of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the "Clean Up the World" campaign, organized widely throughout the province, is an opportunity to spread community activities for the environment, calling on individuals, groups, and communities to join hands and contribute to improving the effectiveness of environmental protection and adaptation to climate change.

In response to the 2025 campaign, the Provincial People's Committee directed departments, agencies, localities, and businesses in the province to organize community activities such as: displaying banners, billboards, posters, and slogans on environmental themes in public areas, streets, and office buildings; strengthening inspection and supervision of facilities with a high risk of environmental pollution; and launching a simultaneous campaign to collect and process solid household waste and clean up the environment.

Communes, wards, and special zones should organize campaigns to encourage all citizens to participate in environmental protection, aiming to create strong and widespread changes throughout society regarding the awareness of maintaining a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment; promote communication and education to raise awareness so that agencies, businesses, communities, and people voluntarily adopt a civilized lifestyle, commit to and actively maintain environmental hygiene; participate in general environmental sanitation activities at homes, workplaces, schools, streets, residential areas, canals, rivers, ponds, lakes, and beaches; and limit, and eventually eliminate, the use of single-use plastic products and non-biodegradable plastic bags...

According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Dinh Trung Hieu, youth union branches throughout the province have simultaneously launched the "Green Sunday" campaign and responded to the "Clean Up the World " campaign in 2025. Accordingly, 100% of youth union branches have organized environmental sanitation activities; collecting, sorting, and processing waste in residential areas, public gathering places, markets, offices, schools, beaches, rivers, and streams.

Addressing accumulated waste, eliminating environmental pollution hotspots, removing illegal advertisements and flyers, launching comprehensive clean-up campaigns at martyrs' cemeteries and self-managed roads; implementing a movement against plastic waste; caring for trees and shade trees, tending to flowers along roads, and beautifying "Youth Flower Road" projects. Throughout the province, more than 10,000 youth union members participated in these activities, with over 110 youth projects completed during "Green Sunday".

The "Clean Up the World" campaign was launched globally by the United Nations Environment Programme in 1993 and is held annually in September. This activity aims to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection efforts and calls on individuals, groups, and communities to take practical actions to reduce pressure on nature and the environment, towards the goal of circular and sustainable economic development.

As part of the activities in response to the "Clean Up the World" campaign in 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will coordinate with Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School to organize a waste sorting and collection activity for recyclable solid waste in the school, with the participation of over 500 youth union members and young people. This activity aims to contribute to raising awareness and educating organizations and individuals about environmental protection, waste reduction, and preserving the environmental landscape.

From there, practical actions can be taken to protect the environment; rationally and economically use and limit the generation of solid waste from learning to daily life; increase the participation of students and schools in waste collection and recycling; and create a green, clean, beautiful, safe, and civilized learning environment.
