Eager to prepare for new school year

I went to Ms. Le Thi Kim Ngan's house, Truong Vinh Ky Street, Rach Soi Ward, Rach Gia City ( Kien Giang ) in early July 2023. Ms. Ngan's family was very happy because this year, her daughter Tran Bao Vy and son Tran Bao Khang were both admitted to the schools they wanted.

Tran Bao Vy is the eldest daughter of Ms. Le Thi Kim Ngan. Vy is happy to have achieved her goal of being admitted to Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted in Rach Gia City. During the summer vacation, Vy helps her mother with housework, participates in summer activities of the Ward Youth Union, reviews knowledge of math, literature, and English, and prepares for the new school year.

Tran Bao Khang - son of Ms. Le Thi Kim Ngan was admitted to Le Quy Don Secondary School, Rach Gia City. Bao Khang shared: "I am worried and nervous about entering a new learning environment. I am trying to study hard to maintain good academic performance and prepare well for the entrance exam to Huynh Man Dat Specialized High School."

Nguyen The Hai dreams of studying at Le Quy Don Secondary School. Sharing about his efforts in studying and reviewing for exams, The Hai said he started preparing since grade 4. He tried hard to study in class, self-study at home, and review under the guidance of his teachers to achieve good results. The Hai said: “I am happy and joyful to be a student at Le Quy Don Secondary School. I try to study well and achieve many high achievements.”

Studying at Le Quy Don Secondary School is Ly Tran Ba Long's dream. To be admitted to the school, Long studied seriously. Currently, he has prepared enough books, school supplies, uniforms, ready for the new school year. "When I go to secondary school, I will try to study hard, practice more math and English, and strive to be an excellent student," Ba Long confided.

Since childhood, Pham Hoang Anh Khoi heard his parents talk about Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted, encouraging him to study hard to pass the entrance exam to the school. Cherishing the dream of entering this school, Anh Khoi tried hard to study, especially in grade 9. “I was admitted to the specialized math class, I was happy because my efforts brought the desired results. Currently, I am resting, going out with family and friends; sometimes I take out my books to read in advance. I keep my mind relaxed to study well,” Anh Khoi shared.

Dinh Minh Hieu will never forget the joy he felt when he was admitted to the 10th grade History - Geography class at Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted. On the day he went to school to complete the admission procedures, Hieu was happy, proud and honored to officially become a student at the school. Hieu said: "To prepare for the new school year, in July, I started reviewing the knowledge of grade 9 and previewing the subjects of grade 10."

At this time, Ms. Le Thi Kim Ngan completed the admission procedures, prepared notebooks, textbooks, and uniforms for her children to go to school for the new school year. According to Ms. Kim Ngan, in order for her children to study well, in recent years, she has always monitored their studies, created the best conditions, and encouraged them when they encountered difficulties. Regarding choosing a school, Ms. Ngan only gave guidance, not imposed on her children. "Both children are entering a new school level, the curriculum has changed a lot, I think they are somewhat bewildered. Therefore, I always closely monitor their studies, besides sharing and accompanying them to help them study well," said Ms. Kim Ngan.

Ms. Mac Dieu Quynh - Nguyen The Hai's mother shared that to prepare her son for the new school, she carefully took care of the uniform, exercise books, and leather bag according to the school's regulations. "The Hai spends time reviewing the subjects of grade 6. Besides, he takes the time to learn foreign languages, read books, and practice sports to develop physically," Ms. Mac Dieu Quynh said.

When her child entered a new school level, Ms. Tran Tu Anh - Ly Tran Ba Long's mother - was worried because, according to her, middle school is very different from primary school, from the curriculum to the way of organizing and assigning teachers. "I care about my child's learning; monitor the class activities through the homeroom teacher, coordinate well with the teacher in teaching my child so that he can progress and maintain good academic performance," Ms. Tu Anh shared.

For students, passing the entrance exam and studying at the school they want is happiness, pride, and a premise for them to conquer new goals in the future. In that journey, parents are always there to take care of them and create good conditions in all aspects for them to strive to excel.
