Located at 109 Nguyen Thiep (Pleiku City), Tre Nga stands out with its immense lotus pond. The pink lotus flowers, mixed with the green leaves swaying in the wind, create a poetic scene. In recent times, this place has become a check-in point for "virtual life" enthusiasts. Many tourists have come to the lotus pond to immerse themselves in nature.
Mr. Ngo Truong Duy (alley 29 Bui Du, Pleiku City) shared: “I saw pictures of this lotus pond on the Gia Lai tourism group. Therefore, I invited my friends to check-in and was really surprised because I didn't think there would be such a green and peaceful space right in the heart of the city. Sitting right next to the lotus field, sipping a cup of coffee and enjoying the airy space, there is nothing more ideal.”
Meanwhile, in the Ia Bang Lake area (Ia Bang Commune, Dak Doa District), the pink lotus flowers in full bloom also attract a large number of tourists to enjoy. The lotus lake is surrounded by green pine hills and rice fields, creating a poetic countryside space. Unable to resist the natural beauty, Ms. Tran Thi My Dung (village 6, Ia Bang Commune) and a group of 7 friends decided to hold a birthday party right at the lotus lake area.
“Instead of going to town to have fun like the previous times, we chose Ia Bang Lake to celebrate our birthday. Not only can we see the pink lotus, the cuisine here is also quite fresh and delicious. If this area receives more investment, it will definitely be an ideal place for tourists from near and far to relax,” said Ms. Dung.

After the final exam, Mr. Mai Loc (Ham Rong village, Ia Bang commune) took the opportunity to take his son to the lotus pond to relax and relieve stress. “It is very quiet and airy here. The father and son both fished and watched the lotus, it felt very light and relaxing. Not having to go far but still having a space to rest like this is really precious,” Mr. Loc expressed.
Not only local people, Ia Bang lotus lake also welcomes many visitors from Pleiku city to visit on weekends. Ms. Nguyen Do To Chau (31 Wuu, Pleiku city) said: "My friends and I invited each other to come here for a picnic and take pictures. The lotus blooms are quite beautiful, abundant and spread across the lake. We all have beautiful pictures to bring back."

Talking to reporters, Mr. Siu Mun - Owner of the lotus pond next to Ia Bang Lake - said: In 2008, he converted his field into a lake and raised tilapia and carp for sale and for recreational fishing. In May 2024, he started releasing Thai and Japanese lotus seeds into the lake. After 4 months, the lake was covered with lotus and blooming brilliantly. Every day, the lotus pond attracts 100-200 visitors to visit, check-in and relax. In particular, the number of visitors increases on weekends and holidays. Not stopping at growing lotus, Mr. Mun also built 13 huts, serving coffee, soft drinks and rustic dishes such as grilled chicken, fried fish, shrimp spring rolls...
Thanks to that, the average revenue reached about 6 million VND/day. "In the coming time, I will release more new lotus varieties to enrich the landscape and continue to develop the eco-tourism model to serve local people and tourists" - Mr. Mun informed.
