On the morning of November 7, athletes participating in the 12th Hanoi Open Club Table Tennis Tournament, competing for the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Cup - 2025 entered the competition in the advanced men's team and amateur men's team categories. This year's tournament has 12 competition categories including: Men's singles with leaders, advanced men's team, amateur men's team, advanced men's singles, amateur men's doubles from 45 years old and above, amateur men's singles under 45 years old, women's singles from 45 years old and above, women's singles under 45 years old, men's doubles with leaders, men's doubles with women over 45 years old, men's doubles with women under 45 years old and women's doubles over 45 years old. Nearly 400 professional and amateur tennis players from 80 units in provinces and cities participated in the competition. The event that attracted the most athletes was the men's amateur team event, including 48 teams participating in the amateur team event and 14 teams participating in the advanced team event. The number of athletes participating in this year's tournament increased by 15% compared to last year's season, showing the attractiveness of the tournament branded by Hanoi Moi Newspaper. Participating in the tournament for the 7th time, tennis player Le Van Duc (Mobi Hoang Chop Club) shared: "We joined the tournament with the spirit of trying our best to achieve the highest results. In the first match, we met Hai Duong team with many talented young tennis players. This year's tournament was held in 3 days, less than previous years, we competed at a higher intensity so we had to allocate our strength accordingly." With a large number of athletes competing, equal to a national tournament, the Organizing Committee has arranged 14 competition tables, mobilized more than 40 national-class referees to operate, ensuring professional quality and competition schedule.
