At 7:00 a.m., the funeral of Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces (LLVT) Khuat Duy Tien was solemnly held at the National Funeral Home, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. The memorial service and funeral procession will take place from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on November 26. Lieutenant General Khuat Duy Tien's coffin will be buried at the Dai Dong Commune People's Cemetery (Thach That District, Hanoi).

Lieutenant General Khuat Duy Tien was born on February 27, 1931, in a poor farming family in Dai Dong commune, Thach That district, Son Tay (now Hanoi). In his life and career, he was considered a battle-hardened general, holding a gun in the resistance war against France and the US, as well as the wars to protect the Fatherland on the border. Later, from the position of Commander of the 3rd Corps to Director of the Military Department, Principal of the 1st Army Officer School until his retirement, he continued to promote the qualities and experience of the "leading flag in the campaign seasons" for the cause of building the army and training command and staff officers in the new period.
With his contributions, Lieutenant General Khuat Duy Tien was awarded many noble medals and orders by the Party and State, including: Military Exploit Order (Second Class, Ва), Victory Order against France, Third Class, Resistance War against America, First Class, 2 Exploit Orders, First Class, Glorious Soldier Order (First, Second, Third), 60-year Party membership badge.
The Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense visited Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Khuat Duy Tien.
