“Actually, when the match started, the players played quite well, had many opportunities. But due to impatience and inexperience, we could not take advantage of them. The defender made a mistake, leading to an unfortunate loss. The fault in this match was not having prepared enough attack plans. CAHN was strong, but we counterattacked ineffectively, lacking plans to put the ball in the net,” said coach Le Huynh Duc after CA TP.HCM’s loss to CAHN in round 8 of V.League.
In the away match at Hang Day Stadium, CA TP.HCM had an extra player from the 20th minute when Van Do of the home team received a red card. However, Coach Le Huynh Duc's players failed to take advantage of the opportunity, played poorly and lost 0-1. The only goal of the match was scored by Alan.
The coach born in 1972 also said that the absence of experienced pillars and the injuries of many important players left him with few options. However, his students are still young and lack coordination in situations.
As for CAHN, coach Mano Polking was pleased with the team's fighting spirit when they were down to only 10 players early on. "Le Van Do's reaction leading to the red card was unfortunate, but the team's fighting spirit was excellent. Despite being short of players, they still scored and defended the victory. I am very proud of my players," said coach Mano Polking.
The Brazilian coach also praised young goalkeeper Vu Thanh Vinh - who was given the opportunity to start after Nguyen Filip was absent: "He showed commendable spirit and confidence. The coaching staff was absolutely right to put their trust in him."
Regarding blocking striker Tien Linh of CA TP.HCM, Coach Polking shared: “Tien Linh is the best striker in Vietnam at the moment, but our defense plays disciplined, covers well and limits crosses from the side. That prevents him from having many clear opportunities.”
