Coach Shin Tae-yong and Park Hang-seo become Vice Presidents of the Korean Football Federation

Coach Shin Tae-yong takes on the role of foreign cooperation, while Park Hang-seo is in charge of all levels of the Korean national team.

KFA President Chung Mong-gyu announced a list of 27 senior personnel including vice presidents, department heads and commissioners. Coaches Park Hang-seo and Shin Tae-yong were appointed to the KFA vice president group, while veteran coach Kim Seung-hee became the CEO.

The vice presidents include five members, notably Shin Tae-yong (former coach of the Indonesian national team) in charge of foreign cooperation and Park Hang-seo (former coach of the Vietnamese national team) in charge of national team levels. In addition, there are Kim Byung-ji (Chairman of Gangwon FC), Shin Jeong-sik (Chairman of the Jeonnam Football Federation) and Professor Lee Yong-soo (Sejong University).

Coach Park Hang Seo had an impressive 5 years with Vietnamese football, ending a glorious journey with a series of historical milestones. During this time, he and his students won 3 major titles including the 2018 AFF Cup championship and a double consecutive SEA Games gold medal.

On the continental stage, the Korean strategist has brought Vietnamese football to new heights. He helped U23 Vietnam create a miracle with the runner-up position at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup, the Vietnam Olympic team reach the semi-finals of the 18th ASIAD, and the national team reach the quarter-finals of the 2019 Asian Cup.

Coach Park Hang-seo has achieved many successes with Vietnamese football.

Meanwhile, coach Shin Tae-yong was appointed to lead the Indonesian national teams since January 2020. However, it was only in the last 2 years that Indonesia started to perform well in major tournaments. The naturalization of many foreign players helped Indonesia to make strong progress and for the first time participate in the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
