According to the schedule, on the morning of January 7, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will have a meeting with the team regarding the tournament regulations and check training and competition equipment according to regulations.

In the afternoon of the same day, the players will participate in AFC's filming and photoshoot activities to promote the 2023 Asian Cup. Coach Philippe Troussier and his team will return to the training ground in the evening of the same day. The Vietnamese team will face the Japanese team in the opening match on January 14.
