Support 500 air tickets for union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2026

The beneficiaries of the support for transportation to return to their hometowns for Tet and to return to work are union members, workers in difficult circumstances, low income; workers with outstanding achievements in production, business or participating in union activities. In particular, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) will give priority to union members and workers who have not returned home for Tet for many years.

Implementing Plan No. 34/KH-TLĐ dated October 15, 2025 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has deployed a Plan to organize activities to support means of transport for union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to work on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026.

This activity aims to reduce the financial burden for union members and workers who are still facing difficulties or have excellent achievements in labor and production; affirm the role, responsibility and comprehensive care of the trade union organization for union members and workers; contribute to ensuring traffic safety during the Lunar New Year. Accordingly, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will organize the "Union Flight - Spring 2026".

Specifically, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will allocate 500 one-way air tickets and 500 gifts worth 300,000 VND/ticket (cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor, Dong Nai Confederation of Labor, Tay Ninh Confederation of Labor to support union members and workers to return home for Tet. Each union member and worker in this category is allowed to be accompanied by 1 person (husband/wife, father, mother, child). Before the flight, representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the provincial and municipal Confederations of Labor organized meetings and New Year greetings to union members and workers before boarding the flight home at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.

Along with the "Union Flight - Spring 2026", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also organizes the "Union Train - Spring 2026". It is expected to allocate 2,000 two-way train tickets and 2,000 gifts worth 300,000 VND/gift (cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Confederation, Dong Nai Provincial Labor Confederation, Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Confederation, and Vietnam Railway Labor Union to support union members and workers to return home for Tet. Each union member and worker in this category is allowed to be accompanied by no more than 3 people (husband/wife, father, mother, children). Before the train departs, representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and provincial and municipal Labor Confederations, and the Vietnam Railway Labor Union will meet and wish union members and workers a happy new year before boarding the train to return home at the departure station (Saigon, Di An, Bien Hoa)...

Criteria for selecting union members and workers to be considered for support when meeting the following criteria: Having difficult circumstances, low income (priority is given to union members, workers who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, reduced working hours, lost jobs, owed wages, bonuses, union members, workers who are relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution, ethnic minorities, areas affected by natural disasters) or union members, workers with outstanding achievements in production, business or participating in union activities who have been awarded Certificates of Merit and awards from the Provincial, City Labor Federations, Central Industry Unions, Economic Group Unions and General Corporation Unions under the General Confederation or higher in the period 2020 - 2025;

Comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, the rules and regulations of the enterprise and the locality where you live. Actively participate in activities organized by the Trade Union. In particular, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will give priority to union members and workers who have not returned home for Tet for many years.

The funding for organizing the "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2026" and "Trade Union Train - Spring 2026" is taken from the trade union financial resources of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; socialized sources; and support from partners who have signed cooperation agreements with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
