Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha was recently invited to attend the conference: "Solutions to promote the construction of clean, green, environmentally friendly residential areas, wards, communes and towns and the construction of Solidarity - Affection - Self-management residential areas in Ho Chi Minh City".

This is an activity to evaluate and propose solutions and good and creative ways to contribute to the implementation of the project registration target to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, national reunification and the implementation of the project of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024 - 2029.

Attending this event, Miss World Environment Nguyen Thanh Ha not only joined hands to spread the message of environmental protection but also contributed ideas to build green spaces in the city.

Since winning the international beauty contest, the beauty born in 2004 has participated in many community activities. From there, Nguyen Thanh Ha has gained a lot of experience, helping her realize that collecting and classifying garbage is necessary.

Nguyen Thanh Ha is concerned that many restaurants and shops have stopped using ceramic or glass cups and bowls and are using thin plastic ones. According to her, this convenience causes the amount of plastic waste to increase, putting pressure on collection and affecting the city's aesthetics.

Miss World Environment raised the issue of reducing plastic waste, while promoting the spirit of proactively sorting waste from households. "A strong policy such as banning plastic straws, or not using disposable plastic when eating and drinking, will create a really big change for the green, clean, and beautiful city," she stated.

Along with the campaign to reduce plastic waste, the arrangement of collecting sorted waste is important. Currently, the classification of waste from households to garbage collection activities is not stable. If the garbage collection units can divide into recyclable waste collection days, organic waste collection days and non-recyclable waste collection days according to the weekly schedule, it will help reduce the pressure of sorting too many steps, and more recyclable waste will go to the right place to be used and exploited.

Nguyen Thanh Ha added that early education about the role of the environment is essential in the journey of creating green spaces. According to the beauty from Ben Tre , building green, clean, beautiful living spaces can start from spaces such as schools, children's cultural houses, and playgrounds... The beauty also highly appreciates the activities of drawing, planting trees at home, telling stories about trees... to help provide more knowledge and spread love for the environment.

Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha contributes many ideas to protect the environment.

In his speech, Nguyen Thanh Ha mentioned the story that in the city, many families take advantage of their balconies and terraces to make green gardens, growing clean vegetables, beautiful flowers, and trees to cool the landscape.

"These families and people are the green "seeds" of the apartment buildings, neighborhoods, and alleys, and they themselves can become the factors that multiply activities towards this green space," she said.

Nguyen Thanh Ha believes that these home gardens not only make the space greener, but also help homeowners reduce stress, anxiety, and sleep better. In addition, the gardening process will help each homeowner love the surrounding environment more because: "Planting trees will bring birds to sing, trees will flower and bear fruit right on the balcony, and the air will be less hot because there is green space in the house."
