Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of the Vietnam Subcommittee of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Economic -Trade and Scientific-Technological Cooperation, had a phone call on August 22 with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Nikolayevich Chernyshenko, Chairman of the Russian Subcommittee.
Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshenko congratulated Vietnam on the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The two Deputy Prime Ministers agreed to continue effectively implementing signed cooperation documents and agreements, along with the direction of the two countries' senior leaders, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - Russian Federation Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshenko highly appreciated the results of economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries; suggested that the two sides continue to implement the roadmap of the Master Plan for Cooperation Development until 2030, especially in the fields of industry, agriculture , health, trade, etc.
The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination to remove difficulties and promote exports to each country's market and the Eurasian Economic Union, for industries with strengths such as agricultural products, food, textiles, and consumer goods.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that there is still great room for cooperation in economics, trade, investment and market expansion between the two countries.
In the energy sector, the two sides discussed cooperation in oil and gas exploitation, development of products from liquefied natural gas, and LNG projects; and discussed ways to remove obstacles in the implementation of the nuclear power plant project in Ninh Thuan.
In the fields of science, technology, education and humanities, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha welcomed Russia's initiative to build a Russian school in Vietnam with a modern educational program, considering this a project of great significance.
Besides, Hanoi City has also arranged the location and is ready to coordinate with Moscow City to implement the Moscow House project in Hanoi.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated Russia's training of high-quality human resources for Vietnam over the years, currently focusing on the fields of energy, digital transformation, science, technology, arts, etc.
Vietnam hopes that Russia will continue to support the training of experts capable of receiving and operating technology in bilateral cooperation projects. Vietnam is also ready to cooperate with Russia in the field of artificial intelligence.

At the end of the phone call, the two Deputy Prime Ministers affirmed their readiness to discuss all issues to promote comprehensive cooperation, and assigned ministries and branches to urgently prepare content for the next meeting of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on economic-trade and scientific-technical cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha also proposed to soon organize negotiations and working sessions at the Government, ministry and sector levels to handle urgent and important issues related to investment cooperation projects such as nuclear power, multi-industry technical centers; and expand trade and investment between businesses of the two countries.
