Since the beginning of the year, tourism activities in the province have been quite vibrant thanks to many favorable factors: Hosting the National Tourism Year 2023 - Binh Thuan - Green Convergence, the expressway sections of Dau Giay - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Vinh Hao have been officially put into operation... In addition, businesses in the province are also interested in implementing many attractive product packages, applying discount programs to stimulate tourism and strengthening promotional activities, promoting images and brands.
Thereby contributing to attracting a large number of tourists from provinces and cities in the Southern region and the Central Highlands to Binh Thuan for relaxation, sightseeing, entertainment... especially during holidays, Tet, and the peak summer tourist season of 2023.
According to estimates, in the past 9 months, the whole province has welcomed more than 6,984,000 visitors, an increase of 75.8% over the same period last year and reaching approximately 104% of this year's plan (of which international visitors had more than 200,000, an increase of nearly 4 times over the same period). At the same time, revenue from tourism activities in Binh Thuan is estimated at more than 17,675 billion VND, nearly double the same period last year and reaching 107.13% of this year's plan.
It is known that the basic targets set by local tourism in 2023 are to strive to welcome 6,720,000 visitors (including 220,000 international visitors) with total revenue reaching 16,500 billion VND. Thus, up to now, the whole industry has exceeded the annual target in terms of number of visitors and revenue 3 months in advance and will continue to increase when entering the fourth quarter, the peak season for welcoming international visitors to Binh Thuan destination.
