With nearly 30 years of dedication to the education career, 10 years as Party Cell Secretary and Principal of Vo Thi Sau Primary School (Chu Rang Commune, Ia Pa District), Ms. Ma Thi Duyen always keeps in mind Uncle Ho's teachings: "For the benefit of ten years, we must plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, we must educate people".

Ms. Duyen said: With 46.5% of students being ethnic minorities, the school's biggest difficulty is maintaining student numbers. During the harvest season, many students take time off to work in the fields with their parents. Therefore, she and the homeroom teacher coordinate with local authorities and the village and hamlet political system to regularly visit homes and go to the fields to encourage students to go to school.

“Mobilizing students to go to class is difficult, keeping them in school and in class is even more difficult. Therefore, along with propaganda and mobilization work, I direct teachers to build a friendly educational environment by decorating classrooms, organizing many extracurricular activities and sports to help students practice life skills and love school and class more,” Ms. Duyen shared.

Sympathizing with children in difficult circumstances, from 2020 until now, Ms. Duyen has called for the help of benefactors to donate 56 bicycles, 78 school bags, 186 coats and hundreds of gifts to poor students.

In addition, she and the school's Board of Directors mobilized social resources to concretize 800 square meters of the school yard; renovate the school campus to be green-clean-beautiful-safe. Thanks to that, the school's annual student retention rate always reaches 100%.

With her expertise and compassion, Ms. Duyen is loved not only by her colleagues but also by students and parents. She was awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in 2018, 2020, and 2024 for her outstanding achievements in implementing patriotic emulation movements and implementing the Learning Society Project...

In the past 5 years, the Party Cell has always achieved the title of a strong and clean Party Cell, with no Party members violating discipline.

The spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle continues to be vividly materialized at Krong Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Kbang district). Although the school is located in a remote area with many difficulties, the school persistently builds a friendly, safe and humane educational environment. In 2024, the school was awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister for studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.

A highlight imbued with national cultural identity is the 84 m² stilt house library designed in traditional style, where students read books, watch movies, and exchange cultures.

After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05, each collective and individual has made a strong change from studying to following Uncle Ho. Honoring advanced models is a practical way to spread the spirit of studying and following Uncle Ho throughout society, contributing to building a prosperous and happy society.
