With the First Prize in Microsoft Office Excel 2019, student Tran Thanh An, class 11 Physics 1, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted became one of six national champions of the 2024 World Office Informatics Championship, selected to participate in the World Finals.
Student Nguyen Le Quoc Anh, class 10 Physics 2 also excelled in winning the second prize; Vu Nguyen Son, a former Russian major student of the school, won the third prize. These are impressive achievements of the school in education and developing students' IT skills.
Sharing his feelings when receiving the award, student Tran Thanh An said that his passion for IT helped him balance his time between studying his major and practicing MOS skills to strive for good results in the competition. Teacher Tran Thuy Duong, Principal of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, said that the contest is a useful intellectual playground, creating opportunities for students to experience digital technology and develop literary computer skills as an important foundation for the learning and working process in the current digital age.
Recognizing the practical value of the contest, teachers at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted actively deployed it to all students of the school, accompanying, encouraging and supporting them to practice digital skills to confidently participate in the contest.
Therefore, Tran Thanh An, although a student in the Physics class, was determined to participate in the World Office Championship and won the first prize at the national level. Thanh An and five other champions will become representatives of Vietnam in the World Office Championship in the international arena in the US this coming July.
