Responsibilities of parents and schools when students violate traffic laws
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced that recently, through coordination, the City Police organized actual inspections at schools, the results showed that there were still a few units violating the regulations on keeping electric motorbikes and motorcycles for students who were not old enough or did not have a driver's license. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training requested principals to seriously continue to implement the directives of superiors on ensuring order and traffic safety for students at educational institutions.
The Department also requires principals to direct and strengthen inspections of parking lots at schools, and resolutely not to keep electric motorbikes or motorbikes of students who are underage or do not have a driver's license. At the same time, they will be directly responsible if they discover that their unit is keeping electric motorbikes or motorbikes for students who are underage or do not have a driver's license.
In addition, schools coordinate with local police to organize propaganda for students and parents about contents related to Road Traffic Law.
Request households parking around schools to commit not to look after or keep electric motorbikes or motorbikes of students who are underage or do not have a driver's license.
Students are required to wear helmets, drive in the correct lane and not violate traffic laws when participating in traffic by electric bicycles, electric motorbikes, motorbikes, or scooters.
When receiving information from the Department of Education and Training or documents from the police that students violate traffic laws, the principal is responsible for inviting the student's parents to work and clearly inform them of the violation. Require the student's parents to cooperate in managing and educating the student, and fulfill the commitment of the student's parents to not let the student drive the vehicle when they are not of age or do not have a driver's license as prescribed.
Students commit to not driving when they are underage or do not have a driver's license and commit to wearing a helmet when riding bicycles, electric bicycles, electric motorbikes, or motorbikes to school. The school takes educational measures to discipline students in accordance with regulations.

Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police entered the school to check the parking lot.
As Thanh Nien reported, in early November, the Traffic Police Department (PC08, Ho Chi Minh City Police) said that traffic conditions in areas and routes near schools were being maintained stably, and traffic accidents involving school-age children had been reduced.
However, there are still some cases where students are not qualified to drive vehicles with a capacity of over 50 cm3 on the road, posing many potential risks to traffic safety.
In order to minimize law violations, prevent accidents, and ensure safety for children when participating in traffic, traffic police teams/stations under the Traffic Police Department simultaneously coordinated with commune-level police to inspect parking lots of schools in the area.
The forces will coordinate to check the parking lots of schools, people around the school gates, invite the school board to participate in organizing the inspection of motorbikes that students are not allowed to drive, check the trunks of vehicles to see if there are any weapons hidden...
The forces also simultaneously inspected and screened "tuning workshops", repair shops suspected of "tuning cars", and manufacturing, manufacturing and trading facilities for spare parts and components serving "tuning cars" to prevent illegal racing.
