Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized that Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology (S&T) development, innovation and national digital transformation is a profound and comprehensive revolution in all fields; implemented resolutely, persistently, synchronously, consistently and long-term with breakthrough and revolutionary solutions. Therefore, "Popular education" has taken on a new look - "Popular digital education". This movement is considered an important task in the national digital transformation process, because popularizing digital knowledge to all people is the foundation for building a knowledge society, forming a generation of digital citizens who are proactive, creative and flexibly adaptable to the times.
Through the “Digital Literacy for All” movement, people will be equipped with the necessary digital knowledge and skills to apply in daily life, grasp, utilize and enjoy the achievements of science and technology. In response to this movement, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group to build the “Lifelong Learning” application on the SmartAnGiang platform, providing basic digital knowledge and skills to people.
Youth need to play a role in the digital age
Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung especially emphasized the promotion of the "Digital Education for All" movement among students. With the advantage of youth, dynamism and creativity, this generation is believed to quickly promote and improve digital skills for the entire population, minimize social polarization and ensure the national digital transformation process takes place effectively and synchronously. This will promote the spirit of self-study, self-improvement of digital knowledge and skills, turning the process of learning, practicing and applying digital knowledge into the personal needs of each student.
Mr. Vu Cao Vinh (working at An Giang Provincial Youth Union) shared: “We are clearly aware of our responsibility in implementing the movement “Digital Literacy for All”. Specific actions, such as: Proactively learning, practicing digital skills, foreign languages, critical thinking to adapt to the new era; propagating and supporting people, especially the elderly, poor students, workers... to access and effectively use learning applications on digital platforms in general, and the Smart AnGiang platform in particular”.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of An Giang Province Do Minh Sang shared: “With the youth - the pioneering and creative force - we need to take the lead in accessing and effectively using digital utilities. One of the important tools is remote digital signature, which helps us authenticate identities, sign administrative procedures, and study records - all of which can be done easily and quickly with just a smartphone. The Provincial Youth Union identifies this as a practical step to improve the digital capacity of union members, contributing to building the image of modern, proactively integrating youth. The goal is to strive for at least 2,000 union members to register and use digital signatures to perform online public services by May 2025.”
By proactively studying, practicing, and actively participating in movements such as “Digital Literacy for All”, the young generation is and will make great contributions to building a digital, modern, and powerful Vietnam.
