Diplomatic Academy removes interview method, adds new admission method

TPO - Foreign language certificates are converted by the Diplomatic Academy on a 10-point scale and considered independently as a subject in the admission combination instead of only adding a maximum of 6 bonus points as in previous years.

The Diplomatic Academy has just announced the expected method of regular university admission in 2025. There are 4 admission methods including:

Method 1: Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Method 2: Combined admission based on high school academic results and international certificates/international standardized tests.

Method 3: Combined admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam and international certificates/international standardized competency tests.

Method 4: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Thus, compared to 2024, the Diplomatic Academy has abandoned the interview method. In addition, the notable new point is that method 2 and method 3 have the following formula for calculating admission scores:

Admission score (maximum 30) = A+B+C+D

In there:

A: is the conversion point of international certificates/international standardized competency tests.

B: is the sum of the average score of the study results of 2 subjects other than Foreign Language (must include Math or Literature) in the admission combination of the Academy of 6 semesters of grades 10, 11, 12 or the sum of the scores of 2 subjects other than Foreign Language (must include Math or Literature) in the admission combination of the Academy.

C: is the Academy's incentive point for candidates who win high school excellent student awards (if any) ;

D: is the priority point according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (if any).

Thus, the international certificate/international standardized test is converted to a 10-point scale, as an independent subject in the admission combination and candidates who want to be admitted only need to have the required certificate and 2 of the graduation exams/high school subjects (except Foreign Language) in the admission combination. Last year, this certificate/test was converted to an incentive score (maximum 6 points).

Some new points of the 2025 admission season of the Diplomatic Academy are increasing the number of admission combinations to facilitate candidates to register according to their strengths (some new combinations: D09, D10, D14, D15); adding an admission method combining international certificates and high school graduation exam scores; adding the PTE-A Certificate to the list of international certificates considered; admission scores are rounded to two decimal places and converted to a 30-point scale.
