According to Agoda, searches for destinations in Vietnam by Australian travelers increased by 26% year-on-year. This increase stems from the desire to escape the Southern Hemisphere winter and enjoy Vietnam's warm tropical climate.

The most searched-for destinations in Vietnam by Australian tourists from June to August 2024 were: Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi , Hoi An, and Nha Trang.

Besides the two largest tourist and transit hubs in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the remaining three cities are considered by Agoda to be attractive to many Australian tourists for sightseeing and relaxation thanks to their beautiful beaches, unique cultural heritage, and pleasant warm weather.

According to statistics from the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the first six months of 2024, Australian tourists ranked fourth among the top 10 international tourist markets for Quang Nam, with over 71,000 visitors, after South Korea, Taiwan, and the UK.
