On the morning of November 20, in Lao Cai province, the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) coordinated with the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Trade, the Yunnan provincial branch and Honghe district (Yunnan province - China) to organize the opening ceremony of the 25th Vietnam-China International Trade Fair, 2025 with the theme "Lao Cai and Yunnan - Connection and Development."

The Vietnam-China International Trade Fair is held annually in rotation between Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China). This is a trade promotion activity under the National Trade Promotion Program.

Opening the fair, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Fair Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Sinh affirmed that after 24 times of organization, the Vietnam-China International Trade Fair has expanded in scale and quality, becoming a prestigious brand, an indispensable trading platform in trade and import-export activities between the two sides.

The fair successfully promoted thousands of economic contracts, contributing significantly to the remarkable growth of import-export turnover through Lao Cai border gate, consolidating its position as a strategic trade gateway of Vietnam with the Southwest China market. At the same time, the fair contributed to enhancing cultural exchange, strengthening trust between the business community and people of the two provinces.

Speaking at the fair, Ms. La Binh - Deputy Secretary of the Hong Ha District Party Committee, Head of the Hong Ha District People's Government (Yunnan Province, China) believed that with the joint efforts of the governments, businesses and people of the two countries, this fair will become a "bridge connecting people's hearts," a "smooth trip" helping many businesses find open cooperation opportunities, together building the Border Trade Fair into an international fair brand that has the power to spread to South Asian and Southeast Asian countries.

The event contributes to building a model border development line of the community sharing the future of China and Vietnam with the motto of "friendly relations, prosperous economy, stable border, and close-knit people."

This year's fair takes place from November 19-24 at Kim Thanh Exhibition Fair Center, Lao Cai Ward, Lao Cai Province with a scale of nearly 700 booths; including over 500 standard booths and 8 special exhibition areas, attracting the participation of 22 provinces and cities of Vietnam and 170 Chinese enterprises, 11 enterprises from 8 countries.

The fair has many highlights such as: Diverse, abundant, high-quality agricultural, forestry and fishery products; AI technology exhibition; Megalive area for online sales; exhibition area "Lao Cai - Center for connecting trade between Vietnam, ASEAN and the Southwest region, China"; Exhibition area "Lao Cai and Yunnan - Connection and development."

This is not only an annual trade promotion event in the border area but also a forum for comprehensive cooperation in economics, trade, investment, tourism and people-to-people exchange between localities of the two countries, thereby creating an important opportunity to introduce the economic and investment potential of each country, helping businesses of both sides meet partners, seek investment and business opportunities for mutual benefit and development.

Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries, connected by mountains and rivers. The people of the two countries have a long-standing traditional friendship. The spirit of cooperation has been increasingly enhanced and constantly developed strongly.

With 182km of border and a strategic location on the Kunming-Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh Economic Corridor, Lao Cai has gradually built itself into an important gateway and center for economic trade connections between Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the Southwest region of China.

Each fair has contributed to promoting economic, trade, cultural, tourism and investment cooperation between the two countries./.
