This year, the fair attracted 2,187 enterprises from 87 countries and regions with 68 national and regional pavilions. The event welcomed over 35,000 experts, suppliers, buyers and industry stakeholders from all over the world , sharing new trends and technologies in food processing and discussing solutions to future challenges.
The fair took place in a vibrant atmosphere, continuing to affirm its role as an important international meeting point for the global seafood industry to promote annual trade activities. In parallel with the exhibition, a specialized conference program was held with more than 20 discussion sessions led by over 80 international experts. Key topics included: sustainable aquaculture, traceability, legal regulations, processing technology, marketing, consumer behavior, market trends, tariff policies and new trade models.
Implementing the National Trade Promotion Program chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade , Vietnam continues to be present at the fair with the "Vietnam Pavilion" marking the third consecutive year after the Covid-19 pandemic participating in this important event. The pavilion is coordinated by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), with the participation of 33 typical enterprises in the field of aquaculture, processing and exporting seafood.
Within the framework of the fair, in response to the recent trend of increasing consumption of pangasius products, VASEP coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Spain to organize a Seminar on the Pangasius Industry to strengthen relations with existing partners, connect potential customers, build strategic alliances and update the latest information on the pangasius market. The event attracted special attention from many guests and international businesses.
The Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam in Spain participated in related activities at the fair, thereby grasping the situation of the international seafood market, market demand and taste, and the ability to supply goods. The Trade Office also discussed with representatives of VASEP and businesses about difficulties - challenges, solutions to enhance trade promotion - business connection in the context of declining export turnover of some products in some European markets. At the same time, the parties discussed solutions to promote trade promotion, diversify markets, and strengthen coordination in organizing upcoming events.
