Gia Lai Red Cross mobilized nearly 826 billion VND for humanitarian activities

In the period of 2020-2025, the Gia Lai Provincial Red Cross mobilized resources worth VND 825,838 billion; thereby, helping more than 1.2 million poor, near-poor and disadvantaged people in the province. Of which, the old Gia Lai province mobilized VND 344.5 billion and Binh Dinh province reached VND 481.34 billion.

The Red Cross Associations at all levels in the province have responded and implemented well the emulation movements launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross such as: the "Humanitarian Tet" movement, the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address", "Humanitarian Month", the program "Nutrition for poor and disabled children" and "Safety for poor and disadvantaged fishermen", campaigns and events on voluntary blood donation, humanitarian organ and tissue donation...

For the "Humanitarian Tet" movement, over the past 5 years, the provincial Red Cross Associations and units under the Red Cross Associations of the two provinces (formerly Binh Dinh and Gia Lai) have mobilized and presented 612,179 gifts with a total value of 249.2 billion VND. As a result of launching the "Humanitarian Month", over the past 5 years, the provincial Red Cross Associations have mobilized support for 305,964 poor and near-poor households with a total value of 84.2 billion VND.

Implementing the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address", the Association at all levels continues to mobilize resources to maintain regular addresses and continue to review and support new humanitarian addresses. In the past 5 years, 10,562 addresses have been supported with a total value of 49.4 billion VND.

In addition, many programs and projects have been effectively implemented by the Red Cross at all levels in the province, contributing to helping many policy beneficiaries, the poor, the disadvantaged, the disadvantaged... have more conditions to overcome difficulties, strive to stabilize their lives with the spirit of "leaving no one behind".
