Vinh Phuc Provincial Women's Union has supported 270 women to start businesses.

With many creative and practical approaches, Project 939 Supporting Women to Start a Business in the period of 2017 - 2025 has been effectively implemented by the Women's Union at all levels of Vinh Phuc province, contributing to changing awareness, arousing the spirit of entrepreneurship, creating conditions and opportunities to help female members escape poverty and strive to become rich legitimately.

The Vietnam Women's Union in collaboration with the Vinh Phuc Provincial Women's Union recently held a seminar to evaluate the results of the implementation of the Project to Support Women in Starting a Business for the 2017-2025 period (Project 939).

Reporting at the Conference, according to the representative of the Women's Union of Vinh Phuc province, in the period of 2017 - 2025, Project 939 has aroused the spirit of entrepreneurship, business start-up, creative potential, self-reliance, and confidence; creating conditions for women in the province to realize their startup ideas and strive to become rich.

From 2017 to present, the Association at all levels has coordinated to organize 40 training courses to raise members' awareness of business, creative startups, business ideas; business planning; production and business planning and solutions...; supported 6 livelihood models for 30 poor members in Lap Thach, Song Lo, Tam Dao, Yen Lac, Tam Duong districts; supported 270 women to start businesses; supported more than 30 startup ideas, cooperatives owned by women with a total capital of nearly 3 billion VND...

Along with that, the Women's Union at all levels has maintained and established more than 30 cooperative/association/cooperative group models; 100% of cooperative groups, cooperatives, and new enterprises established and operated by women have been supported with establishment procedures, capital, knowledge, etc.

Project 939 Supporting Women in Starting a Business in the 2017 - 2025 period has been effectively implemented by all levels of the Women's Union of Vinh Phuc province.

Diverse activities to support women starting businesses

The Women's Union of Vinh Phuc province always identifies the content of mobilizing, supporting livelihoods, improving life, and creating startups for female members as one of the key tasks. In particular, since the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee implemented Project 939, the Provincial Women's Union has proactively researched and accessed legal documents, surveyed practical needs, analyzed difficulties and limitations, closely followed the local political tasks, integrated the implementation of the province's policies related to the establishment of enterprises and cooperatives to deploy the Project in the province.

Notable activities include: launching a contest to find startup ideas, start a business, and passion for business through the Women's Startup Forum, opportunities and challenges; Startup Festival; coordinating with relevant units to organize many training courses, improve knowledge of business administration, improve cooperative management capacity, build startup ideas, apply 4.0 technology in business activities; organizing support activities, improving competitiveness for businesses owned by women and establishing women-managed associations; supporting the realization of startup ideas of members, women...

From there, select feasible ideas to support knowledge training, guidance on building business plans, solutions, startup ideas, and support loans to create opportunities for women to develop their businesses. Thanks to that, many members have boldly and confidently started and innovated in different fields.

The project of female member Hoang Thi Thuy Linh, DBFOOD Food Joint Stock Company, excellently won the Special Prize at the contest "Women starting a business, promoting indigenous resources" organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in 2023.

At the Seminar, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved, difficulties and limitations in the implementation of Project 939; at the same time, proposed and recommended to the Vietnam Women's Union a number of contents such as creating conditions for women to access credit capital policies to support women in business development and start-ups; promoting trade promotion support; integrating project activities and socialized capital mobilization...
