On the afternoon of July 27, in Tuv province (Mongolia), within the framework of the 18th EATOF General Assembly, the provincial governors' conference took place with the participation of 9 provincial governors of EATOF member countries. This is one of the main events of the East Asia Forum (EATOF). Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province, and representatives of relevant departments and branches, attended the conference.

The 18th EATOF Provincial Governors' Conference this year was attended by representatives from 10 member provinces of 9 countries in the East Asia region, including Gangwon Province (Korea), Cebu (Philippines), Luang Prabang (Laos), Quang Ninh (Vietnam), Siem Riep (Cambodia), Sarawak (Malaysia), Tottori (Japan), Tuv (Mongolia), Yogyakarta (Indonesia).
On behalf of the Quang Ninh provincial government attending the 18th EATOF General Assembly, speaking at the conference, Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized: Since its establishment, the EATOF Forum has gone through 17 General Assemblies and this is the 18th General Assembly. On that journey, each member province has made great efforts to contribute to the common development of tourism in the region, contributing to bringing the image and brand of the EATOF Tourism Alliance Forum to the international level as it is today.

At this forum, Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, proposed: The provinces need to coordinate in designing inter-regional tourism routes, researching connections between famous tourist destinations in the East Asia region. Continue to strengthen communication cooperation through website linkage, link linkage, and exchange of official tourism information channels between EATOF member provinces. Cooperate with airlines and travel companies to promote regional tourism packages. Coordinate research to open regular flights or charter flights, cruise routes between member provinces. Share valuable tourism information on various aspects of tourism, including destinations, events, services, policies and practices for sustainable development; cooperate in developing promotional documents and videos to introduce unique products of each member province.
Through discussions and exchanges, the conference agreed on a joint statement to continue efforts to promote joint cooperation projects through the Global Tourism Alliance with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), based on common response mechanisms such as data exchange on global tourism trends, human resource development and crisis management, thereby contributing to promoting global tourism development beyond the region while achieving sustainable development goals. Expand tourism, culture and sports exchanges, youth forums and cooperation projects between the tourism industry and academia. Support the development of tourism professionals among EATOF member provinces by creating joint training programs and comprehensive employment opportunities in the tourism industry through cooperation with organizations and businesses. Comply with the standards of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. Efforts to promote joint tourism among member provinces are made by sending art troupes, sending tourist groups, and conducting marketing and promotional activities in conjunction with major events, typical festivals, and tourism fairs.

At the end of the provincial governors' conference, the conference also agreed to hold the 23rd EATOF Standing Committee Meeting in 2025 and the 19th EATOF General Assembly in 2026 to be held in Cebu Province, Philippines.
