Online conference to evaluate the implementation results of the tasks of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in the first 5 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last months of 2025

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of June 5, in Hanoi, the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) held an online conference with VBSP representatives at all levels to evaluate the results of implementing policy credit tasks in the first 5 months of the year; deploy tasks for the last months of 2025. Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Governor of the State Bank, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the VBSP chaired the conference.

Attending the conference at Binh Dinh bridge point were comrade Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank of Binh Dinh province and members of the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank of Binh Dinh province.

At the conference, General Director of the VBSP Duong Quyet Thang presented a report on the results of operations in the first 5 months of 2025 and the direction and tasks for the last months of the year. Accordingly, as of May 31, 2025, the total credit capital of the VBSP reached over 410.8 trillion VND, an increase of 9.2% compared to the end of 2024. From the social policy credit capital, it has supported investment in production and business, created jobs for thousands of workers, students and pupils in difficult circumstances; built 6,000 houses for poor households, social housing for low-income people, etc.

Total outstanding policy credit reached over VND389.3 trillion, with nearly 6.84 million customers having outstanding loans. In the first 5 months of the year, lending turnover reached over VND67.3 trillion with over one million poor households and policy beneficiaries having access to preferential loans. In addition to the growth in outstanding loans of policy credit programs, debt quality continued to be maintained stably. The overdue debt ratio continued to be controlled at a low level, accounting for only 0.22% of total outstanding loans.

Speaking at the conference, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Governor of the State Bank, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Nguyen Thi Hong acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies at all levels in the first months of the year.

In the coming time, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong hopes that the Board of Directors at all levels will coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and competent agencies to review and identify policy credit borrowers and disburse according to the assigned credit growth plan for 2025. Continue to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and socio -political organizations entrusted with implementing synchronous solutions to consolidate and improve credit quality throughout the system.
