Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Conference in Australia

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu, leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Khanh Hoa province with representatives of Australian businesses.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu emphasized the outstanding potential of the locality with a diverse marine ecosystem, nearly 200 large and small islands, a long coastline and many unique cultural values. Mr. Dinh Van Thieu said that in 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 10.8 million visitors, including nearly 4.7 million international visitors, showing a strong recovery of the tourism industry. With the orientation of becoming a centrally-run city by 2030, Khanh Hoa province wishes to strengthen cooperation with localities and businesses in Australia, especially in the field of connecting air routes and developing tourism products. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the conference will open up many opportunities for long-term cooperation between Khanh Hoa and Australia, towards sustainable development and mutual benefit.

Leaders of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with Australian enterprises, witnessed by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu and delegates.

At the conference, the tourism industry promoted Khanh Hoa tourism through a video presentation introducing outstanding destinations, high-end resort services, marine tourism products and local cultural experiences. Representatives of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air shared information about existing routes and expressed their desire to cooperate to expand connections between the two countries to create more favorable conditions for bringing tourists from Australia to Khanh Hoa and vice versa.

The conference received positive attention from Australian businesses. Many delegates asked questions to learn more about typical tourism products, tour organization capabilities and especially management and safety for international tourists when visiting and relaxing in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. Representatives of Khanh Hoa province and businesses shared general information about tourism infrastructure and service systems that are gradually being upgraded in a professional direction; at the same time, they affirmed their desire to cooperate extensively with Australian partners in building products suitable for the market and increasing connectivity between the two destinations.

At the conference, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and tourism partners in Australia. This event marks an important first step, opening up many practical cooperation opportunities in building tourism programs, developing diverse products and enhancing connectivity, aiming to attract tourists from Australia to Khanh Hoa and vice versa.
