Scientific seminar on the history of the workers, civil servants, laborers and provincial trade unions movement

DTO - On the morning of May 18, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) organized a scientific workshop on the History of the Workers, Public Employees, Laborers (CN,VC,LĐ) and Trade Union (CĐ) Movement in Dong Thap Province (1996 - 2023) (abbreviated as the History Book). Comrades Tran Hoang Vu - Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Van Dinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Commission attended.

According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, in 1998, the unit compiled and published the book "History of the Workers' and Trade Unions' Movement in Dong Thap Province". The above history book has been an important document for cadres, union members and workers in the province to study and learn. Since then, the Workers', Workers' and Trade Unions' Movement and the Provincial Federation of Labor have had many new activities in the process of organizing activities. The Provincial Federation of Labor has had 6 more Congresses with 6 working terms: 1998 - 2003, 2003 - 2008, 2008 - 2013, 2013 - 2018, 2018 - 2023 and 2023 - 2028.

In order to record the typical movements, the development of all aspects of the workers, civil servants, laborers and trade unions of the province, to preserve and promote the tradition of the workers, civil servants and laborers in the cause of promoting industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration in the period (1996 - 2023). The Provincial Federation of Labor has developed a plan to organize the compilation of the History Book. This work inherits the content of the work published in 1998; at the same time, it is a new compilation of the history of the workers, civil servants, laborers and trade unions movement of Dong Thap province from 1996 to 2023.

In order for the History Book to be effectively implemented, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has established a Steering Committee, an Editorial Committee and a document collection department. In particular, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department were invited to participate in the Steering Committee and lecturers from the Provincial Political School were directly involved in compiling the content of the History Book.

Despite all efforts, due to many difficulties, both objective and subjective, the compilation of the above History Book could not avoid limitations and shortcomings. Therefore, from the comments of the delegates at the workshop, the Provincial Federation of Labor will absorb, edit, supplement, complete the History Book and publish it on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
