The event continues the profound values ​​and strong messages from the article "Future for the rising generation" by General Secretary To Lam on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025).

The article outlines a strategic vision and orientation to build a generation of Vietnamese youth who are intellectually excellent, physically superior, imbued with national cultural identity, ready to integrate and shine in the international arena. Vietnam is qualified to be a decent kitchen for the world.

According to Ms. Thai Huong, currently, Vietnam is still in the group of countries and territories with low average height, ranking 15th from the bottom out of 201 countries and territories in the world. Therefore, she expressed that, in order for our nation to enter a new era, an era of national growth, in addition to the economy, we need to pay attention to the "growth" in height, in other words, the stature of Vietnamese people.

“Over the years, Vietnam has achieved many successes in improving the nutritional status of its people, but many nutritional problems still exist, especially among preschool and school-age children.

According to WHO, a human life has 6 stages: in the womb, infancy, school age, adolescence, adulthood and old age. But let's choose a stage that is considered the golden age, which is from 2-12 years old, because about 86% of a person's height and physique develop at this stage. Thus, investing in physical and mental strength for this golden age is extremely important and urgent so as not to miss the precious development opportunity in the life cycle, which is the foundation for healthy physical health of youth", Ms. Thai Huong shared.

In addition to economic issues, we must grow taller and raise the position of Vietnamese people on the world map.

Building a sports foundation from youth training: The inevitable direction for the future
