In recent years, the movement of physical exercise and health training for the elderly in the province has developed strongly, attracting more and more people to participate.
With the goal of helping the elderly live longer and improve their quality of life, the Association at all levels in the province has organized many attractive activities, attracting a large number of elderly people to participate such as: Health care club, Intergenerational self-help club, folk dance club, volleyball club, swimming club... organized regularly and extensively, creating an exciting and vibrant atmosphere.
In particular, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Elderly Association launched health exercises for the elderly throughout the system, organized training courses to guide trainers at the grassroots level, sent sample exercises of short stick health exercises to the lyrics of the song "Hao khi Dong A" on the Association's Zalo page, clubs practiced and shared exercises on social networking channels... Thereby creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting a large number of elderly people and people to participate in the exercise.
The gymnastics competition attracted more than 1,200 elderly people from 7 districts and cities in the province, including officials, members, elderly people, the Executive Committee, members of the Intergenerational Self-Help Club and 70 elderly members from Bac Tu Liem District ( Hanoi ) to participate in the performance.
With regular practice by senior officials and members in localities, the competition has brought about beautiful and technically correct performances, creating an exciting and vibrant atmosphere, encouraging the elderly to actively participate in practice to contribute to improving physical and mental health, creating connections between senior members as well as health clubs.
This is one of the activities of the Provincial Elderly Association to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Elderly Association (May 10, 1995 - May 10, 2025).
