Dak Nong Provincial Literature and Arts Association held a meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Association's founding.

(NADS) - On September 20, 2024, in Gia Nghia city, the Dak Nong Provincial Literature and Arts Association held a meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its founding (September 20, 2004 - September 20, 2024).

The meeting welcomed comrade Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches, and cadres, former cadres, and members of the Dak Nong Provincial Literature and Arts Association through the periods. At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the 20-year journey of establishment and development of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association. The Provincial Literature and Arts Association was established under Decision No. 899/QD-UB dated September 20, 2004 of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee. Currently, the Association has 159 members, operating in 8 affiliated branches, including 4 specialized branches and 4 local branches. Currently, there are 42 Central specialized members operating in the branches: Dance Artists Association, Vietnam Fine Arts Association, Vietnam Photographic Artists Association, Vietnam Ethnic Minority Literature and Arts Association.

Comrade Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to congratulate the Dak Nong Provincial Literature and Arts Association on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.

Over the past 20 years of establishment and development, Dak Nong's members and artists have made continuous efforts in creative activities of Literature and Art. All of them are dedicated, passionate and constantly learning to improve their professional qualifications and creative skills. The Literature and Art Association has organized 26 professional training courses for 1,158 members and collaborators in the province. Nearly 900 members have participated in 40 creative camps and field trips in and outside the province with a total support budget of more than 2.8 billion VND from the Vietnam Literature and Art Creation Support Fund. The attention and investment of all levels and sectors for the province's Literature and Art activities have created conditions for members to compose and create many quality Literature and Art works, winning many high awards, contributing to building the image of the land and people of Dak Nong rich in cultural identity; promoting the image of Dak Nong with many beautiful landscapes, attracting many tourists to visit.

The work of training and fostering young Vietnamese writers has also received much attention and investment over the years. The Literature and Arts Association has coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and related sectors to organize 12 summer literature and arts creation training classes for youth and children with the participation of 650 students of all levels; sent 15 members and young Vietnamese writers to participate in Nguyen Du's writing class and many other literature and arts training classes.

The Provincial Literature and Arts Association awarded certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements and contributions to the Association's work and the province's literature and arts career.

The Association of Literature and Arts has organized and provided funding for 22 authors to launch their works and introduce books; supported 01 member specializing in Photography to organize a solo exhibition. Supported and organized more than 40 trips to participate in regional fine art exhibitions, regional and national music and photography festivals... in the past 20 years. In addition, every year the Association of Literature and Arts has organized professional seminars and discussions on traditional days to create connections in cultural and artistic activities, find directions and outlets for cultural and artistic products associated with the development of Dak Nong province.

Since then, Dak Nong's specialized literary and artistic products over the past 20 years have achieved many significant awards from the Vietnam Union of Literary and Artistic Associations, the Central Specialized Association, and international, national, regional and provincial awards.

Comrade Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a congratulatory speech to the Dak Nong Provincial Literature and Arts Association on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.

At the meeting, Comrade Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated and praised the contributions and achievements that Dak Nong Literature and Arts has achieved, contributing to creating cultural and artistic products to enrich Dak Nong homeland. She also emphasized: The Executive Committee of the Association needs to continue to strive and innovate its working methods in a practical and effective way to encourage artists to create works that are close to reality, have high ideological and artistic values, and are close to life, especially reflecting the breath, life, people, culture and identity of Dak Nong. Party committees and authorities at all levels coordinate and create conditions for the team of artists in the province to excellently complete their tasks.

Representatives of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association returned the donations to representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to support the people of the Northern provinces in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3.

Also at the meeting, responding to the Appeal Letter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Nong province, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association called on all branches, civil servants, public employees, members, artists in the province, collaborators, readers of Nam Nung magazine to join hands to donate more than 11 million VND to support people in the North affected by floods.

On this occasion, in order to recognize the achievements of collectives, individuals, cadres, members and artists in recent times, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 30 individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the association's work and the province's literature and arts career over the past 20 years.
