Homestay ready for business

Báo Thừa Thiên HuếBáo Thừa Thiên Huế27/05/2023

On their personal Facebook pages, when inviting people from near and far to the beautiful Vinh Thanh beach, many locals “show off” the attractive DreamersFarm homestay, which is both modern and environmentally friendly. That, at DreamersFarm, early in the morning, just open the room door, step out onto the balcony, visitors can completely relax while watching the fruit gardens growing on the 5,000 square meter campus and take a deep breath of the strong scent of the sea…

These days, the family of Ms. Le Thi Anh Thi, the owner of DreamersFarm, is busy promoting and completing a number of procedures regarding operating conditions, so that the homestay can officially go into business in early June 2023. Currently, DreamersFarm has a 2-storey area with 15 fully equipped rooms; a swimming pool containing 120 cubic meters of water ensuring 2 functions, serving the guests' activities and serving fire prevention and fighting; auxiliary works, equipment, kitchen area, breakfast area and common living area for guests.

Recalling the April 30 holiday, which is also the occasion when Phu Vang organizes the "Fragrance of the lagoon and the ocean" Festival in 2023 with many attractive activities taking place at Vinh Thanh beach, all the motels in the area were fully booked. Many "slow" guests had to regret missing the opportunity to stay with Vinh Thanh. Now, when the DreamersFarm homestay comes into operation, it will be an attractive destination, also meeting the accommodation needs so that visitors can "slowly" swim in the sea, experience pulling nets on the lagoon, go to Vinh Thanh afternoon market, cook local dishes from fresh seafood and visit the "city of tombs" in An Bang (Vinh An); visit Tuy Van pagoda with its wild and ancient beauty in Vinh Hien (Phu Loc).

The owner of DreamersFarm said that, although not officially in business yet, her family's homestay has opened for relatives and friends to stay and experience and received many positive responses. She is very excited because there are currently 2 domestic groups of guests booking rooms at DreamersFarm in mid-June. This good news is also a motivation for households who have completed the homestay in Vinh An, which is "on the threshold" of putting it into operation.

Vinh An residents are extremely excited when the beach infrastructure is invested. 4 coastal traffic routes nearly 1,000 meters long have brick sidewalks, planted with trees on both sides; lighting covers all routes. The coastal casuarina forest over 50 years old is silent in the sound of waves, attracting more visitors to come to swim, enjoy seafood, and camp and picnic. In that setting, the homestay model is very suitable for the policies and orientations of authorities at all levels on developing sea tourism services and developing community tourism services.

According to Mr. Le Thai Tuan, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Phu Vang district: In localities with sea and lagoons in the district, in addition to 13 motels serving accommodation, some households are boldly developing the homestay model. To encourage the development of community tourism services, the Provincial People's Committee supports 100 million VND (for newly built homestays) and 50 million VND (for renovated and repaired homestays). In Phu An commune, the homestays that people have renovated and repaired have welcomed guests to experience activities on the lagoon in the past time. Particularly, 3 newly built homestays in Vinh Thanh and Vinh An communes have been completed and accepted. The Department of Culture and Information has inspected and issued an official dispatch guiding households to implement and complete the necessary procedures, to be ready to put into business as soon as possible.

Phu Vang District People's Committee has invited tourism businesses and specialized departments to jointly research and develop sea and lagoon tourism tours in the area.
