This is the highest number of vehicles carrying import and export goods cleared through Lang Son province's border gates in a day.
Of the 1,905 vehicles cleared through customs on April 25, 569 were carrying export goods, an increase of 85 vehicles compared to April 24, and 1,336 were imported vehicles, an increase of 223 vehicles compared to April 24.
Talking with the leaders of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board, it is known that, realizing that the number of vehicles carrying import and export goods through customs has increased sharply in recent days, in order to improve customs clearance efficiency, the Management Board has discussed with the side. People's Government of Pingxiang City and Ningming County (Guangxi, China) to agree to increase the time for import-export procedures to 20:00 ( Hanoi time) every day at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Tan Thanh - Po Chai dedicated freight road (area of landmark 1088/2-1089) at Huu Nghi International Border Gate and Chi Ma - Ai Diem bilateral border gate.
Therefore, customs clearance capacity at the province's border gates, especially the three border gates with a large volume of vehicles carrying import and export goods going through customs clearance procedures, has increased sharply. Specifically, the number of vehicles carrying import and export goods cleared through Huu Nghi International Border Gate on April 25 was 910 vehicles, an increase of more than 120 vehicles compared to April 24; through the Tan Thanh - Po Chai dedicated freight road, 716 vehicles, an increase of more than 150 vehicles compared to April 24; Chi Ma border gate was 220 vehicles.
The number of vehicles increased but customs clearance activities were smooth, there was no congestion or blockage of vehicles carrying goods at the border gates.
According to forecasts from authorities, in the coming days, the number of vehicles clearing customs will increase, especially in May - The time when the Central and Southern provinces enter the harvest season of many kinds of fruits, Central enterprises have increased the import of fresh fruits from Vietnam through the province's border gates.
To ensure smooth customs clearance, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has directed relevant agencies of the province to regularly monitor the import and export situation of goods at border gates, proactively discuss with Chinese authorities to agree on measures to facilitate customs clearance activities. At the same time, continue to implement measures to improve customs clearance capacity.
From the beginning of 2025 to April 25, Lang Son had nearly 150,000 vehicles carrying import and export goods completing customs clearance procedures through border gates, of which 34,500 vehicles carrying Vietnamese goods exported through the province's border gates. |
