According to records, from 6am, many people and international visitors gathered for security checks and lined up according to instructions to enter the Mausoleum to visit Uncle Ho.
Among the crowd visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum was Colonel, Hero of the Armed Forces Le Duy Ung - the man who painted Uncle Ho's portrait in blood. Colonel Le Duy Ung shared his emotions when visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum on the morning of September 2.
Although he is now old, weak, and his eyesight is dim, he continues to draw Uncle Ho from memory, with all his love and respect for him.
Present at Ba Dinh Square since 5am, Ms. Lan Anh ( Tuyen Quang ) shared: My family went to Hanoi last night so that the whole family could attend the flag-raising ceremony and line up to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum.
"My children are very excited. This is a beautiful memory for the family, especially as the new school year is approaching. Surely visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum will give them more motivation to study hard," said Ms. Lan Anh.
Coming from different provinces, but in the heart of each person is the respect and gratitude for the contributions of beloved Uncle Ho.
According to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board, on National Day, September 2, the unit warmly welcomed and served 30,575 people visiting the Mausoleum, including 231 foreign visitors.
Although the number of visitors is larger than usual, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board has directed close coordination among the forces in the Mausoleum Management Board, Hanoi City Police and local agencies, units and authorities to create favorable conditions for people and international visitors to visit the Mausoleum conveniently and safely.
On September 2, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Tourism to provide free drinking water, milk, and cakes to people and international visitors visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
Also according to Lao Dong, towards National Day September 2, many people are eager to show their patriotism with red flags with yellow stars. From early morning, in front of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, many people have brought small, pretty flags to check-in to keep memories.
