Responding to the call of Vung Tau City, more than 300 people participated in collecting ocean trash in the Front Beach area. |
To serve the collection work, VESCO Company mobilized 1 excavator; 4 professional compactors with a capacity of 3-11 tons; 3 trucks with a capacity of 3-5 cubic meters; 12 3-wheel compost trucks with a capacity of 660 liters; 60 rakes; 60 baskets; 100 pineapple sacks of 50 kg to contain garbage...
After 3 hours of hard work, VESCO Company and more than 300 people collected about 40 tons of garbage, returning a clean and beautiful beach to the city.
The ocean garbage outbreak is expected to last for many months. Therefore, Vung Tau City continues to call on people to join hands and contribute to cleaning Vung Tau beach.
Ocean trash, mainly water hyacinth, has drifted into the waters of Bai Truoc in unprecedented amounts. The water hyacinth absorbs water and decomposes, making collection very difficult and laborious. |
Previously, on May 30, hundreds of tons of water hyacinth washed up on Bai Truoc, causing more than 2km of beach to be flooded with marine debris.
According to authorities, this is an unprecedented wave of water hyacinth attacking Bai Truoc beach. In low-lying areas, layers of garbage are piled up. There are all kinds of ocean trash attacking Vung Tau beach, from styrofoam boxes, mattresses, plastic bags, etc., but the most common is still water hyacinth.
