From early morning, at the exam site of the National University of Education High School for the Gifted ( Hanoi ), many parents, regardless of the long distance, woke up early to take their children to take the 10th grade entrance exam. Among them was Mr. Nguyen Tuan Tu (Son Tay town), who traveled nearly 50 km by motorbike with his daughter to be on time for the exam.

"The house is quite far from the exam location, so my son and I had to wake up at 5am to go. Luckily, the traffic was smooth and there was no traffic jam, so we arrived on time. My son was mentally stable and ready to take the exam," said Mr. Tu.

According to the male parent, his daughter has good academic performance, has been an excellent student for many years, and aims to enter the English major class. "When I learned that the English major class had the highest competition rate this year, up to 1/23, my whole family couldn't help but worry. But seeing my daughter love the subject, study early on, make a clear plan, and always maintain a progressive spirit, I have more confidence and am ready to accompany my daughter in this exam," said Mr. Tu.

Although he had high hopes for his son's wish to study at the Pedagogical High School, the male parent still tried to help him stay relaxed. He encouraged his son not to be too stressed, because if today's results were not as expected, there was still a chance at Son Tay Specialized High School.

This year, the male student registered to take the entrance exam for 4 specialized high schools: Natural Science High School, Pedagogy High School, Nguyen Hue High School and Son Tay High School.

Sharing before the exam, Phong said that applying to many specialized schools at the same time made him feel pressured, but he also saw this as an opportunity to gain experience.

"The two specialized high schools for Natural Sciences and Pedagogy have many excellent students, everyone studies seriously and tries hard every day. I'm not sure if I will have a chance, but I still want to try my best so I won't have any regrets," Phong added.

Before the exam day, the male student was taken by his father to the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam to pray for luck, hoping for a smooth exam and the expected results.
