According to statistics from the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training, in the Literature exam on the morning of June 7, 102,440/102,860 candidates registered to take the exam were present, reaching a rate of 99.60%. A total of 420 candidates were absent in this first exam session.
During the morning exam, there were no cases of exam supervisors or candidates violating exam regulations. In addition, 12 candidates received special support due to health problems and needed medical assistance during the exam.
For Literature, candidates assessed the test as suitable and closely following the sample test.
In the afternoon , the Foreign Language exam had 102,434/102,806 candidates, reaching 99.59%, with 426 candidates not taking the exam. Notably, one candidate was suspended from the exam for bringing a cell phone into the exam room.
After finishing the second exam, many candidates also commented that the English test was "easy", confident of achieving high scores. Typically, candidate Tran Quang Minh (Chu Van An Secondary School) only needed more than half of the time to complete his test and was confident that he could achieve more than 9 points. Candidate Tuan Linh (at Dong Thai Secondary School, Tay Ho District) was also satisfied with his test and did not need to spend all 60 minutes to complete the test.
The English test consists of 40 multiple choice questions with a time limit of 60 minutes. For each correct answer, the candidate gets 0.25 points.
At exactly 8am tomorrow - June 8 , candidates will continue the Math exam with a duration of 120 minutes. Candidates taking the specialized exam will continue the exam on June 9.
It is expected that around July 4-6, the Department of Education and Training will simultaneously announce the exam scores and the 10th grade benchmark scores. 2025 is the first year that candidates will know the exam scores and benchmark scores at the same time.
The whole city of Hanoi has more than 103,000 candidates taking the exam, 10 times more than other provinces and cities. The total quota for public grade 10 is 1,795 classes with 79,740 students. Of which, 119 public high schools have 1,763 classes with 78,400 students; 3 autonomous public high schools have 32 classes with 1,340 students.
