Meeting of the Final Jury to vote for outstanding works in the fields of theater, music and dance after the country's reunification

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong chaired the meeting.

The launch of the vote for outstanding and outstanding literary and artistic works 50 years after the country's reunification is an activity to honor, promote and raise awareness of the position, role and important contributions of Vietnamese literature and performing arts in building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, while continuing to fully and deeply grasp the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines on culture and arts in the renovation period.

This is also an opportunity to encourage, motivate and promote the talents and enthusiasm of artists, to recognize their contributions to building a diverse and rich Vietnamese literature and art, and to promote the strength of artists in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Meeting scene.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong - Chairman of the Final Jury said: Launching the vote for outstanding and outstanding literary and artistic works 50 years after the country's reunification is one of the very important tasks implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Council members must work truly impartially and responsibly, in the spirit of democracy and objectivity to select truly excellent and representative works in both content and form, truly reflecting the breath of the times, while marking the important contributions of art to the development of the country over the past half century.

Selected theatrical, musical and dance works must meet the following criteria: Having a great effect in serving the revolutionary cause, having a wide and long-term influence in social life, making an important contribution to changing people's awareness in the cause of developing Vietnamese culture and art, building and defending the socialist Fatherland; Having exceptionally outstanding value in terms of ideological content and artistic form; Priority is given to works that have been awarded State prizes, Ho Chi Minh prizes for literature and art; prizes at professional competitions and festivals organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism or by the Central Association of Literature and Art in the specialized field or have been awarded prestigious international theatrical prizes.

It is expected that the Closing Ceremony and announcement of the voting for 50 typical literary and performing arts works will take place in the second quarter of 2025./.
