Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang conveyed the greetings of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Vietnamese leaders to National Assembly Chairwoman Urska Zupancic. The Slovenian National Assembly Chairwoman sent her best regards to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and expressed her wish to visit Vietnam soon.
At the meeting, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang informed about Vietnam's socio -economic development and foreign affairs and the vision of becoming a developed, high-income country in the era of growth.

Slovenia is a successful model of a science and technology-based economic transformation in Europe and is now a developed country with an average income per capita of over 30,000 USD. Vietnam wishes to share development experiences with Slovenia and enhance substantive cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, high technology and innovation, green transformation, logistics, labor, and vocational training.
Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang suggested that the Slovenian National Assembly support the early ratification of the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) and have a voice so that the European Commission (EC) can soon remove the yellow card on Vietnam's seafood exports. National Assembly Chairwoman Urska Zupancic agreed that cooperation between Vietnam and Slovenia still has much potential, and wished to promote cooperation between the two countries' National Assemblies, especially in law-making and expanding the friendship parliamentarians' group. The two sides discussed international and regional issues of mutual concern, highlighted the role of international law and multilateralism, and agreed to strengthen coordination at multilateral forums and join hands to solve global issues.
Also within the framework of the visit, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang had meetings with the Prime Minister's Office and Slovenian ministries and agencies. Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister of Slovenia Maja Božović and Director General of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs agreed to promote Prime Minister Robert Golob's visit to Vietnam and the region, which is opening up many opportunities for Slovenia; wished to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of high technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, which have contributed to Slovenia's economic success; supported Vietnam to successfully organize the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime.
Minister of Environment, Climate and Energy Bojan Kumer hopes to promote cooperation with Vietnam in energy transition, experience in managing and operating nuclear power plants, green growth, and combating climate change. Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Jure Gasparic said that Slovenia is investing in breakthrough technology industries of the Industrial Revolution 5.0, supporting Vietnam in successfully implementing Resolution 57 on breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
President of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIS) Tibor Simonka highlighted the role of businesses in trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, proposed expanding the exchange of market information, supporting business connections through forums and promotion delegations, including the Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 event to be held from September 4-6 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Representatives of the Slovenian Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sports supported the proposal to organize the Vietnam - Slovenia High Technology and Innovation Forum, agreeing to promote labor cooperation, vocational training, sustainable tourism development and cultural heritage preservation.
Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang's working trip to Slovenia has contributed to strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries and opened up many prospects for substantive cooperation in the coming time.
