Workers at Vu Diep Cooperative (Man Duc town, Tan Lac district) sew traditional brocade products.

Vu Diep Cooperative was established and put into operation in September 2024. Initially, the Cooperative had 10 employees, and the production scale was still fragmented and small. Thanks to proactively and promptly seizing opportunities to promote production development, expand the market, increase revenue and create jobs for local workers. Up to now, the Cooperative has expanded its scale, maintaining jobs for over 30 workers with a stable income of 5 - 7 million VND/person/month. The main production area of the Cooperative is processing stuffed animals for export and Muong ethnic costumes. In 2024, the Cooperative produced over 100,000 stuffed animal products, over 5,000 backpacks, handbags, and ethnic costumes. The Cooperative focuses on and gives priority to the production of ethnic costumes. The goal of the Cooperative is to maintain and develop traditional rural industrial products with high economic value.

Mr. Vu Dang Diep, Director of Vu Diep Cooperative, shared: In recent years, most of the young rural labor force in the district have gone to work as workers in factories, enterprises, and companies far away. However, for women, when working away from home, they do not have the conditions to take care of their family and children. Many women at home can only do agriculture, so they do not have a stable income. Based on that, I decided to establish a cooperative and open a sewing workshop to create jobs for people in the area and neighboring areas.

When it first started operating, the cooperative encountered many difficulties, especially in sewing techniques, because the workers were mainly farmers. The cooperative actively trained, guided, and invited a number of experienced tailors working in factories and vocational training centers to directly instruct the workers. Thanks to that, the workers at the cooperative are now proficient in the sewing stages and have a stable income from this job.
Ms. Bui Thi Bien in Man Duc town shared: In the past, besides farming, finding other jobs in the locality was very difficult. Since Vu Diep Cooperative opened a factory, I have found a suitable job. I can work close to home and have time to take care of my children. At first, I was not familiar with the machines, but through the process of working, everyone enthusiastically guided me in every detail, now I am familiar with the work and can make good products according to quality requirements. I hope the Cooperative will have more orders so that workers can have more income and improve their lives.

In addition to creating jobs for local workers, Vu Diep Cooperative strictly complies with legal regulations in its operations such as ensuring infrastructure and adequate fire prevention and fighting equipment. In addition, the Cooperative is interested in supporting lunch money and rewarding diligence for workers... "From the achieved revenue, in the coming time, the Cooperative will continue to invest in factories, equipment, advanced machinery, and training a team of highly skilled workers to improve product quality. Continuously improve designs to find more new customers and partners, increase competitiveness in the market. Increase the average income for workers to 8 - 9 million VND/person/month. Improve operational efficiency to contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality", Mr. Vu Dang Diep, Director of Vu Diep Cooperative shared.

Comrade Phan Minh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting, said: Although newly established, thanks to its dynamism and sensitivity, Vu Diep Cooperative has initially achieved success with its garment processing workshop model. The Center continues to support and guide the Cooperative in accessing capital sources to expand its production scale; coordinate with related units to bring the Cooperative's unique products to the provincial e-commerce trading floor, display and introduce products at fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province.
