Hue and Khanh Hoa organize many activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism.

In Khanh Hoa , delegates reviewed the heroic history of the Soviet people in the war against fascism, remembered the great sacrifices and indomitable spirit of the Soviet Red Army soldiers, as well as the people of other countries in the fight for freedom and prosperity of humanity. This was also an opportunity to meet, exchange and celebrate major holidays, important milestones in the history of the two peoples of Vietnam and the Russian Federation. The activities contributed to strengthening the friendship, connecting the people of the two countries and promoting cooperation and development activities in many fields.

On this occasion, the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province announced the decision to establish the Saint Petersburg Friendship Association. It is known that the association currently has more than 100 members.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 8, the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Hue City also held a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day over Fascism (May 9, 1945 - May 9, 2025).

The event took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere with the participation of many members of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Hue City, former overseas students, experts who studied and worked in the former Soviet Union, and representatives of departments, branches, sectors and people who love Russia.

“As Vietnamese people, we are very proud of the traditional, close, and friendly relationship between the Vietnamese and Russian peoples. We are even more proud because in the army protecting Moscow in the winter of 1941, there were Vietnamese volunteer soldiers. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day of the Russian Federation, there were also Vietnamese soldiers participating in the parade on the historic Red Square. That is a testament to the friendship and loyal relationship between the people of our two countries,” affirmed Mr. Chau Dinh Nguyen, Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of Hue City.

On this occasion, with the support of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi, the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Hue City displayed more than 20 precious photo collections about the great patriotic war of the Soviet Union.
