Information from the Department of Education and Training of Hue City on August 2 said that city leaders and departments and agencies have just conducted a field survey to prepare for a pilot project to build new and upgrade the inter-level school system in 5 border communes of the old A Luoi district.

At the survey, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, requested functional agencies to coordinate with localities to complete legal documents and investment plans for each school, ensuring suitability with terrain, convenient operation, and meeting the conditions for studying and living in boarding and semi-boarding.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized that investing in building a school system in the border communes of A Luoi is not only to meet the immediate needs of learning conditions for children of ethnic minorities in the border areas, but is also a strategic solution, contributing to improving people's knowledge, developing human resources and creating a sustainable foundation for the long-term socio-economic development of the locality.
After the survey, the working group agreed on the plan to build 4 new inter-level primary and secondary boarding schools. These schools will be built in the central areas of A Luoi 1, A Luoi 3, A Luoi 4 and A Luoi 5 communes. In addition, 1 school, the existing secondary and ethnic boarding school in A Luoi 2 commune, will be renovated and upgraded to become an inter-level primary and secondary boarding school.

It is expected that this August, Hue City will start construction of the first two inter-level boarding schools in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes. Each school will cover an area of 3-5 hectares, meeting the learning, boarding and semi-boarding needs of 600-700 students. The remaining schools will start construction and renovation in 2026.
Mr. Nguyen Tan - Director of the Department of Education and Training said that after investing in new construction and renovation, schools will have full learning areas, dormitories, living areas, sports areas and items to ensure safety for students.
The construction of schools in border areas is a major policy under the direction of General Secretary To Lam and the Conclusion of the Politburo, aiming to invest in inter-level boarding schools in 248 land border communes across the country. In 2025, 100 pilot schools will be completed before the new school year begins.
